Work Wear Wednesday - Fall Transition Pieces!

I know we have entered into the Fall season, but for some us, like the south, we are just starting our transition into our favorite season! (Or at least my favorite season!) I have been trying to find some really cute work wear pieces for me to wear now and transition into full fall and winter! I headed over to my local Ann Taylor and Loft stores and were blown away with the amazing pieces they currently have. The fall colors are patterns were enough to make my fall heart blossom!

Almost all of the items are available in all sizes! I will also include direct links for all of these pieces, so you can directly shop each piece! Both stores have been running amazing deals lately, so if there is an item you are looking for, definitely check the site for their sales!

Ann Taylor

Look One: This houndstooth top was one of first tops I grabbed in the store, as my eyes were immediately drawn to it. I love the high neckline and the layered top look. The colors are amazing and are perfect for fall. The jeans are sailor jeans and I would definitely size down one to two sizes! This was my normal size and they were definitely too big. This look is the same as the outfit in look five, but I tucked in the white part to show the sailor detail on the jeans.

Look Two: This look was in the store window and my Mom demanded that I try it on! I didn't think I would love the uniform burgundy, but this look is absolutely amazing! The pants are wool and they do run a little big! They are fully lined, so not itchy at all! I would definitely size down in the pants as they were a little big on me. The top is a silly blend and would really cute with a cardigan or blazer. It rungs true to size and the colors are just amazing!

Look Three: I am OBSESSED with this dress! I saw it on the way into the dressing room and immediately gabbed it to go into the dressing room with me. Y'all know I'm obsessed with plaid, so when you add hunter green to the plaid, I am in heaven! This is sheath dress is the perfect length for the office and would be amazing with a cardigan and boots or a blazer and heels! I would stick with your normal size with this dress.

Look Four: This is another Mom find, can you tell she isn't a dress or skirt gal?! These window pane plaid pants are amazing and the grey, blue and white plaid is amazing! They are not lined, but they super lightweight and comfortable! These pants also run a little big, so I would suggest sizing down, unless you want them to be a little big. The top is a basic white, silky top and it runs true to size.

Look Five: As I stated in look one, this look are the same items, I just tucked in the white part of the shirt so you can see the sailor details on the jeans!

Look Six: Here I am with plaid again! Not only would I wear this look to work, I would wear this look for date night, girls night or everyday wear! Clearly I really like this outfit! These black jeans have the perfect amount of stretch, but I would definitely size down one to two sizes. The top is super stretchy, so comfy and the sailor tie is the cutest. The top runs true to size and is cute by itself, with a cardigan, blazer or even a denim jacket!

Loft:

Look One: I think this may be my most favorite favorite look from this Loft try on! This poncho is the cutest and it is so soft! Not only does its look amazing with the skirt, but it is so cute with jeans or leggings! The skirt is pink wool, but it is not itchy or scratchy. I love the gold detailed buttons on the skirt and it is true to size! This look would be so cute with boots, booties or heels!

Look Two: This look has me torn, I love the sweater, but really dislike the pants! Out of all of the leopard items, this was the only one in my size, so I grabbed it! It is really soft and is a little heavier than most of the other sweaters they have in the store. It runs true to size and would be perfect for work or just as an everyday sweater! I grabbed the pants, because they were something a little different than I was used to. The material is really thin and they run really big! I almost had to hold them up for the picture because they were so loose on me. If you live in an area that had milder temps in the fall and winter, then these may be for you! If you decide to grab them, then size down one to two sizes!

Look Three: Let's just start my plaid obsession here! I saw this skirt on the mannequin and prayed they didn't have it in my size! I know, I'm a weird blogger! They did have it in my size, so I grabbed it and took it in the dressing room. This skirt is so cute and fits true to size. The plaid is hunter green, navy and white, so it is the perfect color combo to go from fall to winter. I paired it with just a basic white top, but you would have so many amazing options with this skirt. You could do sweaters, a button up, tank, this skirt is really versatile!

Look Four: Now on to plaid look number two! This is the same plaid as the skirt, just in a dress! I'm not one for dresses that tie, but this dress is so cute! You could definitely take the tie off and either belt the dress or wear it without anything at all. This would be cute with a denim jacket, or blazer, with boots, booties, flats or heels! The dress on me did run a little big, so I would size down due to the cut of the dress.

Look Five: One last plaid look for you! This plaid midi skirt is so amazing and when I grabbed it I immediately thought of so many ways to style it! The skirt runs true to size and would be so perfect for fall into winter. The colors in this plaid is a navy, burgundy and white. The top is a thin, ribbed long sleeved top, with button details at the wrist. The top does run a little fitted, so if you want it to be oversized, then size up.

Look Six: I think I may have taken casual Friday a little too far! LOL! I also must have a thing for sailor details on denim! I have been eyeballing these wide legs jeans for a while, but I was a little disappointed when I put them one! I would definitely say to size down 2-3 sizes and they are so long! I had to roll them up to make them look decent for the picture, that's why there is the color difference. The cardigan is the softest and most cozy cardigan I have put on lately. The cardigan is true to size.

I had so much fun with all of the workwear and it made me want to up my outfit game at work! I want to keep the workwear posts coming, so comment below with what other stores you would like to see featured and I will add them to the list! I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!
