Adventures in North Georgia - A Fun Fall Monday in the Mountains!

Wow, I haven't been over here in a while! If you haven't heard, I am training for the 2018 Walt Disney Marathon and I started a running blog with two friends to document the training. If you want to check it out, you can get to it here.

So I had some super busy weeks at work and started to think I wasn't going to have time to do any of the fun Fall things that I love to do. Mom and I decided we would take off a Monday and head up into the mountains for a day of fun! We started the day at my favorite place in the world, Burt's Pumpkin Farm!!! We have been going to Burt's since we first moved to Atlanta, three years ago. Burt’s Farm grows over twenty varieties of pumpkins, along with ornamental corn and winter squash. It is the best pumpkin patch around and the hay ride is pretty cool too! Not only can you get pumpkin and squash, but they have a whole store of fall decorations and homemade baked goods!

I have the wheelbarrow and am ready to pick some pumpkins!

Look at the pumpkins!

Just hanging out with some friends!

Our next stop we found a year ago and is definitely a serene place to stop. Less than a mile from Burt's, you will find Fausett Sunflower and Horse Farm. The farm has about 10 acres of land and there are sunflowers as far as the eye can see. We were out there the first weekend after blooming, so there were two patches where there were sunflowers and they were in all stages!

Mom and I!

This was a great way to start off Fall and I can't wait for the weather to cool down! I hope you all have a great Fall!
