Three Ways to Style Velvet Pants!

My intention was not to buy a pair of velvet pants during Black Friday sales, but it happened and I am not mad about it! I stumbled upon these pants while I was working on the Black Friday blog post and immediately fell in love! I've loved Banana Republic since I worked there in college, so when the pants arrived I was so excited to put them on! The second I looked at them in the mirror I started thinking about all the ways I could wear them throughout the winter. This prompted me to create three different looks for you, all revolving around these amazing pants! Here we go!

Outfit One:

I like to call this my "for the office look!" I paired the velvet pants with my favorite white button up from Grayson. The pants are a little long on me, so I did pair them with a pair of heeled boots. If you like to wear flats, the pants do come in a petite length. If you wanted to add a little something extra, these pants do have a matching blazer that would just take this look one step further! If I work with you, I am sorry how often you are about to see this outfit in the office!

Outfit Two:

This is my party look and definitely my most favorite of the three! If you know me, you know navy blue is my favorite color and I wear it like most people wear the color black! So, when I saw a navy blue sequin top I was immediately sold. Then when I pulled up the top, it showed it matched with the velvet pants and I immediately knew I needed to buy this look! This look is perfect for a holiday cocktail party or a formal office party!

Outfit Three:

I knew I would have a party outfit and an office look for these pants, but I really wanted to incorporate an everyday look, because these pants should be able to be worn all the time! For this look, I just took my everyday basics, a plain white tank and denim jacket, and paired them with the velvet pants. I would've like to put flats or even nice sneakers to complete the casual look, but I would then need the petite length pants. I think this look is perfect for a weekend brunch or, if paired with comfy shoes, you can wear this look out for a day of shopping or exploring!

The good news about these pant is they are currently on sale for $66! This is 40% off the normal price and they are fully stocked in regular and petite lengths. If you have a Gap Inc. credit card, you can get an additional 10% off with code BRCARD. As far as sizing, I am wearing a medium in the pants, a size 3 in the Grayson button-up, large in the sequin tank (it is a little cropped), large in the racer back tank and denim jacket.

If you love the wide leg pants, and are looking for something a bit more festive, these pants also come in sequins! I will link the sequin pants and blazer, along with the velvet blazer below, in case you are interested! Can you see yourself wearing these pants? How would you style them? Let me know in the comments!
