Now that the chaos of the shopping weekend trifecta is over, I have started thinking back to the amazing moments I had while I was in Jacksonville. I know I shared a little about Thanksgiving Day and a lot about shopping, but my favorite part of the weekend was spending time with some of my favorite people. On top of spending time with friends and family, we had our newest little (well not so little) member of the family baptized. This baptism was very special for me because I was given the gift of being this little one's Godmother!
Once I found out I was going to be Camden's Godmother, I started looking for a great dress to wear for the baptism. I had already purchased one, which everyone told me was too dressy for the occasion, but I didn't want to hear it. I then went shopping with my Mom and my Grandmother and found this amazing dress, which I think was designed with me in mind. The dress is an A-Line shift dress and has the cutest ruffle detailing at the bottom of the 3/4 sleeves. When I first saw the dress, the Black Watch Plaid immediately spoke to me (we all know how much I love plaid), but when you turn the dress around there are four black velvet bows. I mean, plaid and bows, how could this dress be any better? The dress is lightweight, so you don't feel like you are being weighed down and I would say it runs true to size. The dress is currently a doorbuster and is on sale for 50% off! I paired it with my black Tory Burch flats, but you could easily wear riding boots or dress it up with some heels. My monogram necklace is also on sale and would make a great gift for yourself or a friend/family member.
I will definitely be wearing this dress again, so don't be surprised if you see it return to the blog! I will link all outfit details below and will post some photos from the baptism!
