Welcome to the heart of summer! I cannot believe we are a week away from the 4th of July! Where has the time gone? Since we are heading into the prime time of backyard BBQ's, pool parties and fireworks, I decided to put together my top 5 outfits for the 4th! A lot of the items are on sale and I will make sure to link everything in case you want to purchase! Check them out!
Outfit 1: When I first started thinking about this post I knew I needed to include this top. It is red, white and navy and is probably one of the lightest shirts you will ever wear. I included this top in a previous outfit of the day post and it still costs $17.99 at Target. I would say the top runs true to size, but if you wanted a baggier look then I would size up. These shorts are one of my favorites and they come from Nordstrom. They are made by TopShop and I would suggest to follow the sizing guide on the site. The shorts are also marked down, so this outfit would be less than $60. Pair it with sandals or tennis shoes and you would be ready to hit the BBQ!
Outfit 2: I think this might be my favorite outfit in this post, so don't be surprised if you see it on a future outfit of the day. This outfit would be great for any outdoor events you may be attending on the 4th! The top is currently $12 at Abercrombie and is so light and airy. The top also comes in navy and white striped, in case you wanted to reverse the colors a little. I sized up one in the top as I wanted it to be a little flowy, but not too oversized. The bralette comes from Altar'd state and is currently on sale for $9.99 with an additional 40% off. The shorts are boyfriend short from Gap, that are a few years old, but I did find ones that are very close and linked them below. This outfit would be less than $70 and could go down if the shorts were on sale. My only suggestion for this outfit is to pack some sunscreen so you don't get burnt!
Outfit 3: This is an outfit I would definitely wear for the 4th if I was going to a party where I would be indoors for a lot of the day. The sweatshirt is from Old Navy and is very light, it is like the perfect lightweight summer sweatshirt. The top is currently $20 and also comes in a short sleeved option if you don't want to do a sweatshirt. The shorts are the same as the ones in outfit 1, so definitely check them out as they would be on sale! This outfit would be less than $60 with the sweatshirt and less than $50 with the tee!
Outfit #4: I am actually wearing this top today and absolutely love it! This top is currently $10 at Abercrombie and comes in several colors. It is a little oversized, so staying close to your normal size would be best. It is very lightweight and super comfy for a day of celebrating with friends and family. I have put a navy tank under it just to get a little more blue. The shorts are also from Abercrombie and are currently 50% off, which makes then $29. I stayed true to my size for these shorts and I love them. They have a 4" inseam, which is longer than the TopShop shorts above. If you are looking for some great shorts, but are a little longer, these are the ones for you. You could pair this outfit with tennis shoes or sandals and be set for the days events for less than $50!
Outfit #5: This might be the most comfortable outfit I have on this list! It would be great to wear as just an outfit to an event, but it would also be great as a bathing suit cover up! These linen shorts are from Old Navy and are currently on sale for $22. They have an elastic, drawstring waste and are the most comfortable shorts you will ever wear. The top is currently my favorite in my closet, I have it in 4 different colors. It is from Red Dress Boutique and is $34. It is oversized, so if you want it to fit a little tighter, then I would size down. This is definitely an outfit you can't go wrong in and you will be comfortable the whole day!
